As the executive director of the Berkeley Life Sciences Entrepreneurship Center (LSEC), I’m fortunate to have a front row seat to some of the amazing innovations taking place across our campus in the life sciences. LSEC was created to champion entrepreneurship, providing a range of support to founders on everything from programming, to mentorship, networking, and funding.

For the second year in a row, we’re taking our innovations on the road - to one of the hottest tickets in the industry, the J.P. Morgan Healthcare conference (or JPM, as it’s known). As the premier conference in biotech, JPM connects global industry leaders with some of the biggest companies and some of the brightest startups, alongside members of the investment community. In short, it is the perfect venue to showcase the impressive work coming out of UC Berkeley.

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, we are hosting the Berkeley Bio Startup Showcase from 4-6pm at the beautiful 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the startups today that will lead the industry tomorrow, and to better understand the programs at UC Berkeley that help support them. It’s also a great time to learn more about our key campus partners that help to foster and support our founders. In addition to LSEC, these include:
